Chef Ann Foundation

The Chef Ann Foundation gets schools cooking. We help schools replace ultraprocessed foods with fresh, healthy, and delicious scratch-cooked meals that nourish kids and protect the planet. Since 2009, our programs have reached more than 19,000 schools in all 50 states, bringing better meals to 5.9 million kids.

Why Tea Towels

Creating and sharing screen printed tea towels has been a tradition at the Chef Ann Foundation since our early years. It all started when we decided to thank our partners and advocates with “scratch-made” gifts. Our staff would gather in our CEO and Co-Founder Mara's garage where we would hand-print colorful veggies on aprons, baby onesies, tote bags – and lots, and lots of tea towels.

We've always put a lot of heart into our tea towels. Since the beginning, we've partnered with independent artists to create designs that reflect the beauty and joy of healthy, scratch-made school food. While we've now moved our printing operation from Mara's garage to a professional print shop, our commitment to creating towels that are handmade with love has remained.

Today, we're thrilled to bring these beautiful and sustainable works of art to kitchens across the country through the Renegade Lunch Lady Store.
